This autumn, Form/Design Center, together with Sveriges Arkitekter, is organizing an extensive architecture program with several highlights. For the seventh year in a row, The Architecture Day will take place, featuring exploratory discussions and lectures on architecture in a changing world. Alongside this, the exhibition "The Great Repair Moves North" will be inaugurated in collaboration with ARCH+, accompanied by a comprehensive program. The same week, Open Architecture Studio returns, where Malmö's architects will open their doors for two days to showcase ongoing projects.

In a world scarred by the exploitation of resources and people and scarred by inequality, segregation and war, can architecture act as a reparative force? The exhibition wants to shed light on questions about the conflicts between ecological balance and uncontrolled growth and that strongly wants to advocate a new architectural ethos centered around repair.
The Great Repair Moves North builds on the exhibition The Great Repair, produced by ARCH+ which was previously shown in Berlin and Paris.

On September 10th, The Architecture Day at Form/Design Center took place for the seventh year in a row. Together with Sveriges Arkitekter and in collaboration with ARCH+, we organized a full day of discussions and lectures on architecture.
Under the title Repair the Practice/Practice the Repair, The Architecture Day 2024 focused on care as a practice and the stewardship of what has been damaged or broken. Through lectures, discussions on two stages, and the exhibition The Great Repair Moves North, various perspectives on a repair society and the practices it entails will be explored, all rooted in a desire to expand the conventional notion of what "sustainable architecture" is.
