REPORT 2025: THE DESIGN INDUSTRY IN SWEDEN
Form/Design Center has produced a unique report, mapping over 20,300 active design companies. This is the first report of its kind, aiming to serve as a starting point for continuously tracking the development of the Swedish design industry, its impact on other sectors, and society at large.

Statements from the parliamentary seminar Designbranschen som tillväxtmotor i Sverige (The Design Industry as a Growth Engine in Sweden) on January 29, 2025. The seminar aimed to highlight the significance of the design sector for Sweden. During the event, Form/Design Center presented a unique national survey of the design industry – an important step in the effort to establish Sveriges Designers Riksorganisation.

A national association for design professionals
A united voice, a strong national community, good working conditions, clear industry practice, access to advice and knowledge sharing - within the profession as well as among design actors and politicians, the need to organize the design industry through a national professional organization is highlighted. Form/Design Center will investigate how we can contribute to a professional organization for designers coming into place.
