Briefly describe your office

We are a real estate company with architecture, construction and management activities for housing, hotels, restaurants and businesses. As an office, we belong in the posthuman style of architecture (the functionalist, modern puts the human at the centre, the posthuman also animals, insects, plants, earth, fire, air and water) We like the punk DIY attitude and are passionate about exploring and building the future.

Why have you chosen to design-build?

Because this is a good strategy for moving forward in our process-oriented dynamic design approach.

How do you usually work as an office?

As generalists.

How do you want to work in the future?

We want to continue to develop architecture and our properties.

How do you see the architect's role in the construction process in Sweden today?

We work quite autonomously in our projects concerning the architecture industry in general and therefore do not have much insight into the role of other architects in the construction process in Sweden.

How would you like to see the architect's role develop in the future?

Everyone who works with us is in principle fully or partially educated in Sweden. The Swedish educational profile is good because it is versatile and investigative. We think that more architects can follow the same path as us. It would be powerful if more offices have employees who can design, procure and execute.

What do you think about the architectural assignment as a business model - does it need to be developed or supplemented?

There are many paths to take to reach forward. In the end, it's the result that counts.

Is there anything you think the city could do differently to promote better construction processes?

The city/municipality must have processes and employees who have a high level of knowledge and ideal. The knowledge is needed to actively solve tasks and control them (if you don't have knowledge, you become the manager of power and build up mistrust of systems and don't develop). Ideals are needed to develop and look for ways forward.

We like punk's DIY attitude and are passionate about exploring and building the future
