Welcome to the opening, where Studio PANK will present their work TRIBUN, now installed at Hedmanska gården. Drawing on the classic “soapbox” – the simple wooden crate long used as a platform for public speaking – the installation explores questions of voice, space, and participation.
Originally created for Sergels torg in Stockholm, one of Sweden’s most symbolic sites for democracy and public demonstration, the work filled the void left by the iconic speaker’s platform steps. TRIBUN has now been donated to Malmö and Form/Design Center, where it continues its journey.
Refreshments and light bites will be served during the evening.
