Briefly describe your office

We are a small office that primarily works with smaller projects, up to 2-3000 square meters, often housing projects in multi-apartment forms or villas. In addition to this, we make interiors for hotels and restaurants. We also do design projects for the furniture, lighting and kitchen industries. Our overall objective is to make projects that we are proud of and that are appreciated by the users.

How do you usually work as an office?

Everyone is usually involved in all projects to varying degrees. We sketch individually, compare, discuss and develop further. Then, as a rule, one person is mainly responsible for each project.

How do you want to work in the future?

We are comfortable with the model we work according to. We want to continue on the same path and are happy to collaborate with other actors who share our vision.

To create better and cheaper alternatives, the entire process needs to change. The model that is used today is unnecessarily complicated

How do you see the architect's role in the construction process in Sweden today?

In our eyes, the architect's role is too weak.

How would you like to see the architect's role develop in the future?

We would like to see that the architectural profession was more driving in the development of a more beautiful and sustainable society.

What do you think about the architectural assignment as a business model - does it need to be developed or supplemented?

It can definitely evolve and change. We would like to see talented architects have more of a say in the process.

Is there anything you think the city could do differently to promote better construction processes?

In order to create better and cheaper alternatives, the entire process needs to change. The model that is used today is unnecessarily complicated. Different administrations and referral bodies should cooperate more to speed up, simplify and make buildings more economically accessible to residents. Municipalities may have a greater interest in architecture and the opportunities that good architecture contributes to creating a better society. The architect row house project is a good example of how a municipality can work with this to create a good living environment.
