Jingbei Zheng is an independent designer who founded his own Swedish-based studio, during his master's program at IKDC at Lund University. After graduation, she dedicated herself to running the studio. With an exploratory and experimental attitude, she gives subtle awareness and soft feelings to the process of designing objects from raw materials, combined with philosophical and poetic concepts.
Jingbei's work examines the possibilities of applying traditions in contemporary contexts with ordinary and sensory connections to the rooted memory and the experience of both oriental and Nordic cultural backgrounds. It is the embodiment of her observation and perception of nature, materials, culture and life.
