Nordic Design Network

Project

The Nordic Design Network aims to establish a long-term collaborative platform to strengthen the Nordic design sector. By uniting key design organizations from Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, the network will address shared industry challenges, facilitate knowledge exchange, and drive positive change.

Through joint workshops, seminars, and networking events, it seeks to strengthen cultural and professional ties, create opportunities for cross-border collaboration, and drive sustainable growth within the design field. Advocacy is a core focus, with the network working to raise awareness of Nordic design's global value, highlight its contributions to societal and economic progress. Through shared tools, resources, and best practices, the project aims to empower the Nordic design sector to tackle future challenges. Building a strong, interconnected community, the initiative strives to ensure the resilience, adaptability, and continued relevance of Nordic design in a rapidly evolving world.

Founded in 1911, Ornamo Art and Design Finland is the oldest community for design professionals in Finland, with more than 3,000 members.

Ornamo is the voice, community, and support network that helps designers at different stages of their careers to achieve a broadly respected and recognized professional identity. The members of Ornamo are professionals in industrial, service and strategic design, UX/UI design, fashion, textile and furniture design, interior architecture, craft art and textile art as well as researchers of design and design businesses.
