Förstberg Ling is an office for architecture and design established by Björn Förstberg and Mikael Ling in 2015.
The projects, from buildings and interiors to furniture and objects, are designed with a technical as much as an aesthetic approach. The resulting work often falls into the realm between the obvious and the surprising.
Förstberg Ling design for longevity and with integrity, ensuring concepts and materials are deeply considered and consciously chosen.
The studio draws inspiration from collective experiences, good and bad. The memorable ones are often the extremes. Their design process nurtures the good, alters the bad, and strives for better.
Their project House for Mother was shortlisted for the Private House Award in 2016 by Architects Sweden and won the Plåtpriset Award in 2017. Förstberg Ling was one of twenty practices chosen by Wallpaper magazine for the Architects' Directory 2017.
