Welcome to a summer evening at Form/Design Center, featuring the opening of Pathways of Practice, FORM + FURA, and an exhibition by Nohlin Studios in the Gallery Shop. Refreshments and light bites will be served.
In Pathways of Practice, members of the artist collective Parts & Pieces explore how materials, movements, and craft traditions shape the ways we create, think, and tell stories. Inspired by Tim Ingold’s book Lines, the exhibition brings together ceramics, textiles, wood, stone, and mixed media in a presentation where process, storytelling, and making take centre stage.
In FORM + FURA, SPOK presents the outcome of a close collaboration between designers and craftspeople, using locally sourced pine as a starting point for exploring the possibilities of the forest, the material, and the craft. Through furniture and prototypes, the exhibition reveals the entire journey from raw material to finished object.
In the shop gallery, Nohlin Studios presents works from Year of the Vessel. Through playful ceramic objects with distinct personalities, Sofia and Erik Nohlin explore the vessel as an everyday object, a storyteller, and a carrier of nature’s gifts.
