The exhibition presents works from Year of the Vessel, Nohlin Studio’s ongoing project celebrating the vessel and its role in everyday life. This year’s collection explores forms designed to highlight flowers, branches, harvests, and other gifts from nature. The objects on display are part of the series’ first release, Class of 26, in which each piece is given its own distinct character. With a nod to school class portraits, the collection captures the individuality—and occasional awkwardness—of each object: a moment in time that can never be recreated in exactly the same way.
NOHLIN STUDIOS
Nohlin Studio is led by designers Sofia and Erik Nohlin. From their farm outside Borrby in southern Sweden, they run a multidisciplinary practice where design, craftsmanship, and everyday life are closely intertwined. After a decade in San Francisco, they returned to Österlen seeking more space for creative work, a closer connection to materials and nature, and a slower pace of life.
Founded in 2025, the studio serves as a platform for both making and exchange. Its practice is rooted in the belief that the most valuable insights often emerge in the spaces between—during walks, shared meals, and informal conversations—rather than in strictly scheduled meetings. The same approach informs the studio’s work with design and craft.
