Being nominated for Architects Sweden’s Awards is a mark of the highest architectural quality, sustainability, and innovation. This year, Skåne presents an exceptionally strong field, ranging from pioneering timber construction and strategic urban planning to world-class adaptive reuse and playful public spaces.
Through the series “Möten och Vandringar,” we aim to highlight the values that good architecture brings to society. This is not only a chance to experience beautiful environments, but also a unique opportunity to hear the architects themselves speak about the processes, challenges, and visions that shaped the projects. How do you transform an industrial ruin into a modern office with millimetre precision? And how can a bridge or a pink square become the link that brings an entire district to life?
During April and May, we will host five events in Malmö and Trelleborg. Each visit is a guided walk that concludes with an open discussion, where we reflect together on the built environment and its significance for those of us who live and work in the region.
Whether you are a professional in the field or simply interested in how our cities and communities evolve, you are warmly invited to shine a light on Skåne’s architectural achievements.
