Welcome to a creative drop-in activity where you can discover the many possibilities of rope at your own pace. Using on-site instructions, you can try different knots and explore how simple knotting techniques can be both practical and decorative. When you are finished, hang up your knot alongside others and become part of a growing collective artwork.
You can also try weaving on Form/Design Center’s popular weaving frame, adding your own colours, shapes, and patterns to the shared piece.
KNOT! is part of the exhibition Pathways of Practice, which explores how materials, craft, and making shape the ways we create, think, and tell stories. The activity is suitable for all ages and requires no prior experience.
