In our creative workshop, we take inspiration from a current exhibition at Form/Design Center and use it as a starting point for our own making. Each session has a new theme where children discover design and form by experimenting, building and trying different materials and techniques.

At this session, we draw inspiration from the book exhibitions in the shop gallery – Svensk Bokkonst and Best Book Design from all over the World – and explore the book’s form, colour and materials through hands-on making. Together we will try bookbinding and learn simple techniques for creating a personal book cover. Using materials such as cardboard and aluminium, we will experiment with covers that both protect and stand out – where imagination takes centre stage and each book gets its own unique expression.

The workshop is led by educator Anna Zingmark and is aimed at children aged 6–14. Participation is free of charge and no prior experience is required – curiosity and the joy of creating are all you need.
