Malmö Mosque emerged from Islamic Center’s vision of creating a place for religious life, community and cultural belonging. Through a guided tour and an in-depth discussion, the visit explores the building’s architecture and its role in Malmö’s urban and cultural life.

The visit is connected to the exhibition Aga Khan Award for Architecture, which highlights the role of architecture in social sustainability, local identity, pluralism and community. Drawing on the exhibition’s themes, the mosque is explored both as a religious building and as a place of belonging, cultural memory and encounters within the city.
