In the middle of a lush residential neighborhood, Solidar appears as a delightful surprise – a rediscovered gem housed in a former Functionalist-style shop, brought back to life through strong local engagement. A building that stood empty and abandoned for many years has now been transformed into a warm, welcoming neighborhood restaurant and gathering place for both local residents and people from across Malmö.

During the guided tour, we step inside the carefully renovated space, where preserved details from different periods tell the story of the building's past. We take a closer look at the reopened window sections of the facade and the beautiful natural light they bring in, while discussing how local initiatives, reuse and thoughtful transformation of existing buildings can create distinctive gathering places and contribute to a vibrant city.

Alongside the architects, developers and key people behind the projects, you have a unique opportunity to explore the architecture on site. We take a closer look at how innovative design, sustainable material choices, circular thinking and social interaction are shaping the future of our built environments in Skåne.
