The Plastbantarna exhibition at Form/Design Center is based on an everyday experiment in which the Hesse family lived completely without plastic in their home during the autumn. By removing plastic from everything from the kitchen and clothing to toys and storage, the experiment made visible how deeply the material is embedded in our daily lives – but also what alternatives actually exist.
Visitors now have the opportunity to meet the family in person at the exhibition. They will answer questions and share their experiences and reflections from their time without plastic in a personal, down-to-earth way.
Sara Ilstedt, project manager and Professor of Product and Service Design at KTH, will also be present to talk about the research project behind Plastbantarna. She will provide insight into the background and purpose of the experiment, as well as how design, material choices and everyday decisions are interconnected in the work towards more sustainable ways of living.
