How should Malmö be built in future?

Welcome to a breakfast meeting about the City of Malmö’s architectural programme: Arkitekturstaden Malmö (Malmö, the City of Architecture). City architect Ingemar Gråhamn and project manager Anna Modin describe the current work.

How should Malmö be built in future? That is what the City of Malmö wants to find out via an architectural programme that makes clear the city’s ambitions for how architectural qualities should be preserved, strengthened and developed, and how various building projects can help Malmö become a local, dense, green and mixed city. When the programme is finally adopted by the city council it will guide the city’s work and decisions about issues to do with the city’s planning and public-sector construction.

Arkitekturstaden Malmö is now in its second dialogue stage. An exhibition proposal is being circulated for comments, which are being accepted until 31 May.
