Saferoad Citylife invites you to a breakfast seminar in collaboration with Tryggare Sverige and Form/Design Center. Gain practical insights and inspiration on designing safer urban environments from a landscape architect and specialists in crime prevention. The aim is to create vibrant places where people enjoy spending time – places that also help prevent crime.
At a time when feeling safe in our cities can no longer be taken for granted, an important question arises: how can urban design create places that are both welcoming and secure? A safe place is a lively place where people want to be. The greatest opportunity to shape a place comes in the early stages of a project, when safety can be designed into the environment from the very beginning. Safety is not created by a single measure. It emerges from the whole – through the many decisions and details that influence how a place functions, how people move through it, and whether it feels welcoming and made for people.
Discover practical approaches to preventing crime through the design of the built environment. Be inspired by projects where natural routes, landmarks and thoughtful landscape design have helped create attractive, safe and vibrant places.
