This partial perspective reveals not an impersonal monolith but a complex living environment. Built on a plinth, in a forest near the water, the series of diverse courtyards that structure the standardized, prefabricated built fabric open up for diverse forms of life, landscape and play. In this lies an ethos of spatial generosity.
The installation was first exhibited at the Tbilisi Architecture Biennial in Georgia in 2018, in response to its theme “Buildings Are Not Enough”. It is shown at Form/Design Center through the generous support of the Center for the Future of Places at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
