In a small but realistic serial production project, the students applied their newly learned 3D modeling skills in the design process by producing their own fair trade chocolate bars - from concept to finished product. The chocolate bars are cast with food-safe silicone molds, made from 3D printed tools, based on 3D models created in Fusion. The project shows three essential stages of the design process in an educational way.
Lund University School of Industrial Design
Lund University School of Industrial Design (LUSID) are focused on allowing students to shape themselves as designers. They encourage professional collaboration, pushing the boundaries of design and questioning society to effect change. With their position in Scandinavia, their international focus and their expansive facilities, they have the unique ability to allow students a platform to study remote areas in the field of design. From social activism to new material experimentation, they want to encourage their students to develop creativity and personality to become influential within – and beyond – the field of design.
